I surfed ...Like your assessment cold fickle sharky. I surfed East Coast out of NYC 35 years ago and we always felt so second rate to the West Coast and all that. But thinking back...our waves were curls! there was a wall for hanging 5. The water was warm, salty and thick. Glassy in the morning (hurricanes in August). Oregon is a lovely coast, but surfing is hard work. The waves riffle, hit deep water and dissappear.
