Log Fest

W WIND 15 KT WITH SW WIND 15 TO 25 KT S OF TILLAMOOK THIS MORNING.
VEERING TO NW 15 KT IN THE AFTERNOON.
WIND WAVES 4 FT.
W SWELL 9 TO 10 FT AT 13 SECONDS.

The winter rains have started...
I can hardly wait for some sessions...
Sharing the lineup with logs...

Nothing is quite as exhilirating...
As seeing a 2+ ton chunk of wood...
Floating in the lip of a wave...

I remember seeing some of the best waves of my life at a rivermouth during the El Nino winter. Perfect 8-10 foot A-frame peaks and offshore winds. Only problem was debris field of tree limbs and logs right in the impact zone. All we could do was watch it for several days...breaking perfectly....and absolutely could not paddle out.

Nothing worse than getting a splinter in your eye when duckdiving - like today. Shorties was offshore at 5pm and nobody was out. ?
