Hello, my name is David Rutledge, and I am the director of Buttons Surf School on the North Shore of Oahu. Buttons is living a drug free life. He is now licensed and certified by the state of Hawaii to teach surfing. As another comment mentioned previosly, Buttons offers his time on the first weekend of every month to Access Surf Hawaii, where he paddles autistic, parapalegic and even quadrapalegic surfers out to catch waves on the West Side.
