Coming & Going

W WIND 15 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 4 FT. W SWELL 5 FT AT 8 SECONDS.
Feels like I do alot of it...
Drive to waves...
Drive away from waves...
Drive to waves...
Drive away from waves...
Recent drive in session...
Was piddly, onshore & crumbly...
But still funnish and...
There's always something to be found...
Or, I hope so anyway...
The drive away from waves...
Was not a post surf departure...
Of any great regrets.

Man if the "Surf in Oregon" really looked like that It'd be one thing, but most of the time I find it eaiser to just stay in the valley. Not to mention the savings in gas and maintenance. U must have a good chriopractor.

Yeah...
I thought about putting onshore dribbling slop in the window & rearview...
But it just doesn't have the same effect...
I'd be driving it even if I didn't surf so there's that.
Surf in Oregon does have its moments...
Just not recently.

I find I get more waves in the water than the guys whining about conditions in the parking lot...
And Dub, lots of people find it easier to stay in the Valley.
We like that.

Speaking of waves I recently came across something on surfingstoke.com saying you confirmed the location of Scotts? It also went on to say: “Doc over at Surf in Oregon always posts up some good pictures with his surf reports” Thinking about more, you rarely post pics of Oregon waves. More than often it seems they seem to be from somewhere else. Now I'm not busting your balls here, but I wouldn’t want your readers to be mislead assuming many are from out of state.

a wave like that in the rear view mirror is torture...

I'm gonna agree with Retro hack. Even if it's not a great day, I'm still getting more waves than those that don't go. Unfortunately summer is coming up, so most won't stay in valley.
I always hate going, no matter how good the day was. And it's usually log trucks and mini vans in the rear view.
